Mrs Helen Dean Succumbs in California

Mrs. Helen Deasha Kirtland Dean, 78, well known summer resident of Culver, passed away at the hospital in Riverside, Calif Feb 28.

She had gone to RIverside in early Novemebr to spent the winte in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Timmons and had been seriously ill for three weeks

Mrs. Dean, the daughter of Adelaide Desha Krtland and Edward Mansfield Kirtland, was born at St. Louis Mo. July 4, 1878.

She had linved in Culver for about 25 years and owned a home on the east side of the lake at one time.

In later years she had spent the winters in flordia, California and the East.

Surviving relatives include two cousins, Mrs. Phillip I Brennand, Wast Hampton Beach, Long Island, N.Y. and Arthur G. Loffin, Gulfprt, Miss.

Funeral services were held at 1- a.m. Thursday,March 1 at the M. H. Simons Funeral Home in
Riverside and interment was at Riverside. = 7 Mar 1956 - Citizen
