1908 - April 2 - M. R. Cline is installing a cement block plant near the elevator

1909 - Apr 22 - After losing a crank pin the engine in Cline's cement block factory wrecked itself, and Cline went to South Bend Tuesday to buy a new one.

1909 - Feb 25 - The Year in Building... M. R. Cline, cement block Factory $125

1910 - Sep 8 - New Cement Barn - M. R. Cline is building a cement barn on the rear of the lot to be occupied by his new cement block factory. It will have cement shingles and will be fireproof.

1913 - May 22 - Clarence Brittan has bought a lot of M. R. Cline on Aurora Borelais Hight, paying $400 for the lot; a tent and a sed that stoof on the Cline cement block factory lot

1919 - Oct 15 - New Auto Machine Shop.
    The Medbourn Ice Co. has completed the foundation for a cement block building, to be rented to Min Hatten and Grover Filar for an automobile machine shop. Another story will be added to the front to furnish two sleeping rooms for the men who will be on call during the night.

    1919 Dec 10 The big garage which the Medbourn Ice co. is constructing had reached the second story, but progress is slow on acount of scarcity f help and materials. It is not likely that the boiler for the heating plant will be received before the first of the year, and it will probably be spring before the building is completed.

1934 - Dec 19 - Cline to Move Lumber Yard to New Location
    The M. R. Cline Lumber Yard will move about January 1st to the remodeled building opposite the McKesson garage.

    The building has been rebuilt both inside and out.

    The interior has been insulated and offices built on both floors.

    A new work shop has been built and a heating plant installed.

    Storage room will be on the second floor

    A new front and display window have been built.

19__ Milon Reno Cline Novelty Works

1942 - July 15 - Installs New Cement Block Machine
    The M. R. Cline Ornamental Stone Factory has installed new machinery for the manufacturing of improved cement blocks. The new equipment used greater pressure in molding the blocks, which come out true and square on all sides.


1944 - Aug 2 - Long & Burns Open Cement Block Factory
    A new buisness swung into actual production Monday when A. B. Long and Dave Burns opened a cement block factory which they had purchased of M. R. Cline.

    The business, which is known as the Long & Burns Cement Block Factory, is located on East Jefferson street and has a capacity of around 500 and 800 blocks a day, all guaranteed. The latest type of block making machine is being used.


1946 - Sep 11 - George I Babcock announces that he has purchased the Cline Lumeber Yard of Mr. M. R. Cline and will operate the business under the name of Culver Lumber Co.

1951 - Mar 28 - For Sale... Also cement block factory and bulding in thriving town, priced right to sell, financed to two-thrids of value ...Guy Price Real Estate...

19__ - 1962, Jan - M. R. Cline Builder's Store - Milon R. Cline
    M. R. Cline Builders Store the business site was at this location since 1908 except during the World War II years when it is said to have been located across the street at 214 E. Jefferson.


1963 - Jan 9 - Park ‘N Shop has purchased the M. R. Cline Builders Store and will erect a large new super market on that site…

1963, May - April 1981 - Park N Shop - Charles Rhodes & Sons
    They began business in 1959 in the building just west of them that was at 115 E. Jefferson Deckard's housed a lumber yard and now the cabana. In May 1963 they purchased this property and razed the old M. R. Cline Builder's Store.

    In April 1981 - Park n Shop purchased the Alford's IGA of Culver and Argos and moved to 1105 Lakeshore Dr.
