Rites Set For Retired Greenwood Contractor

GREENWOOD. April 20-Edward J. Craig. retired building contractor, died Sunday morning at 1:07 clock in his home at 171 East Main street.

He had been in failing health for several vears.

Funeral services are to be conducted in the J. C. Wilson mortuarv at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and burial will follow in the Acton cemetery. The Rev. Fred Thompson, pastor of the Greenwood Christian church, will be in charge of the services.

Friends are invited to call at the funeral home any time and are in vited to attend the rites.

Mr. Craig was born in Clark township near Acton on April 23. 1862, and his parents were Henry W. and Mary Randall Craig.

He would have observed his 91st birthday Thursday.

He was a member of the Greenwood Christian church.

The survivors are the widow. Mrs. Etta Craig, one daughter, Mrs H. W. Hunter. of Chicago. Ill.: son, Clyde Craig, of St.Louis, Mo.: five grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren. - Franklin Evening Star Mon, Apr 20, 1953 ·Page 1
