      Patricia Ann Hardwick, 84, Martinsville, died at 3:37 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Center in Beech Grove.

      The daughter of the late Shirley "Shanks" Kriner and Mary Myla (Thornburgh) Nowa, she was born March 8, 1921, in Martinsville. She was the widow of William Herbert Hardwick, whom she married August 1938. He died Oct. 26, 1972.

      Hardwick was a homemaker.

      She attended Community Church of Greenwood, and was a past member of Tri Kappa and the Monday Afternoon Art Club.

      She enjoyed reading, Bible study, playing bridge and golf.

      Survivors include two daughters, Janet Brown, Austin, Texas, and Suzy Hardwick, Martinsville; three grandchildren, Pattie Freeman, Penny Webster and Justin Brown, and six great-grandchildren.

      A private service will be conducted Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville. Pastor Steve Schellin will officiate. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.

      Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville.

    Mrs. Richard Edward Kriner was Miss Carol Ann Fleming hefore her marriage in the Dean Forest Baptist Church in Savannah, Ga.

    Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Moody Bert Fleming o( Savannah and Mr. Kriner is the son of Mrs. Shirley Alexander Kriner of East Shore Drive, Culver.

    Mrs. James Alan Henderson of Watertown, Mass., sister of the bridegroom, served as bridesmaid.

    Mr. and Mrs. Kriner will spend August at Culver and will then live in Lafayette where Mr. Kriner will attend Purdue University. Mr. Kriner graduated from Culver Military Academy in 1958 and "for the past four years has been in the Air Force.

    Mrs. Shirley Kriner and Mrs. Henderson went to Savannah with Dr. and Mrs. George Crouse of Anderson for the wedding. Russell D. Oliver Jr. also attended the wedding.
