1942 - Feb 11 - Emil Ruhnow, who for many years has been employed in Chicago, resigned his position and began work at the Kingsbury4 plant last Saturday.

1944 - May 10 - Emil Ruhnow has purchases bowling alleys of Joe Schweidler.

1944 - Jun 14 - Emil Ruhnow, proprietor of the Recreation Hall has bought the Baker house on Baker street.

    Culver - Emil H. Runhow, 92 of 912 Baker St., died at 4 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Parkview Hospital Plymouth, after an illness.

    Mr. Runhow was born Fev. 3, 1894 in Chicago and had lived in the area since coming from Chicago in 1938

    On Jun 6, 1914 in Chicago, he married the former Anna Mueller who died in 1975

    Surviving are two daughters Gertrude Kalin of Plymouth and Cristal Auker of Logansport; two sons Edward and Emil Jr. of Culver; 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

    He was retired owner/operator of the Culver Sheet Metal Works.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Grace United Church, of which he was a member.

    Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

    Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday and from noon until services Tuesday in Bonine Funeral Home.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Holy Cross Parkview Hospital.

    Culver - Mrs. Anna M. Runhow, 81, of 912 Baker St., Culver, died at 5:15 p.m. today in her home after an illness of several years.

    She was born Feb. 24, 1894 in Chicago and lived there until 1938 when she moved tot his area.

    She married on June 6 , 1914 in Chicago to Emil W. Runhow. He survives along with two sons: Edward and Emil Jr., both of Culver; two daughters: Mrs. Gertrude Kalin of Plymouth and Mrs. Cristal Auker of Logansport; 22 grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Grace United Church of Christ, Culver.

    Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

    Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday and until noon on Saturday at the Bonine Funeral Home, then at the church until services.

1964- Jun 3 - To celebrate Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Emil W. Ruhnow, 912 Baker St., Culver, will observe their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, June 6, with a family dinner at the American Legion Hall in Monterey.

Mr. Ruhnow and Mrs. Ruhnow, who was the former Ann M. Mueller, were married on June 6, 1914, in Chicago and moved to Culver: in 1943 where Mr. Ruhnow operated the Bowling Alley for two years.

In 1946 he purchased the Culver Sheet Metal Works which he operated until his retirement in 1961.

The Ruhnows have two sons, Edward, 310 Madison St., Culver, and Emil Jr., Route 2, Culver; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Kalin of Plymouth, and Mrs. Crystal Auker of Logansport; and 20. grandchildren.
