Mrs. Paul Hays Wilson of 1312 Highland Ave. New Castle, Pa, has announced the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, atricia Carroll, to David Balfour Cleveland, son of Mrs. Chester W. Cleveland of Culver , Ind. and the late Mr. Cleveland

The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Dr. wilson and the grandaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs Loyal wilson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman T. Frushour.

Miss Wilson is a graduate of Stuart Hall in Staunton, Va., Katherine Gibbs in New York, and Finch College in New York. She was employed until last year by a Boston neurosurgeon.

Mr. Cleveland attended the Fessendon School in Boston. He is a graduate of New Triert High school in Winnetka, Ill, and the William Allen white school of journalism of the University of Kansas.

The wedding will be solemnized in the First Presbyterian chruch in New Castle, Pa., on saturday afternoon, Nov. 7, at 4:30 o'clock

The couple will make their home in Indianapolis where Mr. cleveland is co-publisher of the Culver based Indiana Business and Industry Magazine. Culver citizen

    David Balfour Cleveland 78, of Indianapolis, died December 6, 2011.

    He was born February 22, 1933 in Evanston, Illinois to Ruth (Glass) and Chester W. Cleveland.

    Raised in Winnetka, Illinois, he graduated from The Fessenden School in West Newton, Mass., New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL and The University of Kansas William Allen White School of Journalism.

    He worked for Potts Woodbury and the Spencer Chemical Company until 1963 when he joined his brother as co-owner of The Culver Citizen, Indiana Business and Industry Magazine and The Indiana press. David joined the Trust and Asset Management Group of AFNB in 1971 retiring from Banc1 as Director of Corporate communication. He was the publisher and advertising consultant for the development of the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association's Visitors Guide where its legacy continues today. With the blessing of Charles Schultz he created the board game Charlie Browns All Stars which was produced by Parker Brothers.

    He was a past director of The Woodstock Club and the Columbia Club and past treasurer of The Players club. He served as president of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Indianapolis Alumni Chapter and was named Hoosier Sig of the Year in 1994.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John and his first wife Teresa Hoffman Cleveland.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Wilson Cleveland, two sons, Christopher and Loyal, his daughter Carroll Hannon (John) and 5 grandchildren: Beth, Katie, Emily, John and Lily Hannon.

    Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 on Friday, December 9th at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel , with the White Rose of Sigma Chi ceremony at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church.
