William G. North, 80, of 527 Jackson Av., River Forest, retired vice president of R. C. Wieboldt & Co., general
contractors at 1515 Church St., Evanston, died yesterday in a Dallas hospital.
Mr. North retired 15 years ago, had been in Dallas visiting his son, William F.
Other survivors include his widow, Ethel M.; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Turner; grandchildren; and a sister.
Services will be held at 10 a. m. tomorrow in the chapel at 523 Lake St., Oak Park. -- Chicago Tribune Fri, May

William F. North William F. North of Granberry, Texas passed away Thursday, April 16, 1992 at the age of 67.
Born, June 14, 1924, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was retired from the insulation business.
He started with Johns Manville in Chicago, Illinois and left the company in Dallas in 1969, where he was the
contract unit manager.
He started the H.I.C. Insulation Company at the time with two partners and sold his interest in the company in
1978, after major heart surgery. He and his late wife moved to Austin where Mr. North did estimating and
consultingwork until his retirement in 1986.
Mr. North was a graduate of Purdue University, a member Sigma Chi Fraternity, and held membership in Jewel P.
Lightfoot Masonic Lodge of Dallas and Wimberley Masonic Lodge 1445.
He was also member of the Scottish Rite and Hella Shrine Temple of Dallas. He was member of the American Society
Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. He served as elder of the John Calvin Presbyterian Church
of Dallas.
Mr. North served three years in Army during World War II, receiving a battlefield commission in France. He was
decorated with the Combat Infantryman's Badge and Bronze Star.
Mr. North spent his entire working years improving and upgrading commercial and industrial field and taught classes
in insulation for Mechanical Contractors Association Dallas sponsored by Texas A & M University. He also completed
a business course at Anthony School in California and held a state insulation license that state as well as Texas,
Oklahoma, Lousiana, Illinois, and Indiana.
He was a member of Toastmasters International, and served as president of Dallas Town North Club.
He was preceded in death by wife of 42 years, Betty Sheltz North.
He is survived by a son, William North of Austin; and a daughter, Debra Lynn Ballew of Waxahachie; four grandchildren;
and a loving companion, Gail Amason of Granberry.
Funeral services will be on Monday, April 20 at 1:00 PM at the Thomason Funeral Home Chapel in Wimberley, Texas.
Burial will follow at the Wimberley Cemetery.
