1924 - Aug 27 - George Cornelius to Ada Maynard East side Maxinkucke lake property $5500

1924 - Jul 2 - Three years ago a part of the East shore of the lake towards the south to the "Bide-a-Wee" cottage was a low marshy shore and back from the lake a tangled undergrowth of wilderness known as Jungle land few enterprising men saw possibilities there and set to work. Aided by Mr. Frank Lanigan, who helped supervise the work of filling in and clearing up this and, the following people built lovely homes, sodded beautiful terraces to the lake shore, and this summer are seeing to the beautifying of the rear of their lots:

1932, Jaunary 5 - Relocation of East Shore Lane. H. H. Rice and Edith B. Rice bought farm land from Marvin T, Loudon and Clara L. Loudon which was evetually used to relocate East Shore Lane and give Rice Woods to the East Shore Lane Association, dated October 4,1927. Subsequenly, Rice by quit claim deed acquired all the properties in the attached plat, on January 5, 1932, recorded the plat on the same date. Rice then by quit claim reconveyed the properties to their original owners Baker - owned the property as noted on the plat map; the second is annotaed with current addresses.

1939 - Dec 27 - Ada Jones Cottage sold - Judge Riggens this week sold the Ada Jones Cottage of the East Shore Lane to Charles Redmon of Peru, Ind.

Connected with W. C. Redmon Sons & Co.; 1940 was listed as Proprietor Treasurer; its is still in existence to day as a long-standing fifth-generation family business famous for manufacturing woven "Red-Man" picnic baskets, hampers, and juvenile furniture. Charles with his 2 brothers toll over the business at the death of their father in 1943.

1951 - Oct 24 - Dr. Babcock and his family have been; summer residents of Lake Maxinkuckee for many years, but last year they established permanent residence at East Shore Lane. Dr. and Mrs. Babcock have two daughters, Mrs. Charles Williams of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. John Crise of Mt. Prospect, Ill., and one son, John, in the 6th grade of the local grade school.
