    Gene Furry of Plymouth and 2430 East Shore Drive Culver president of the Indiana Motor Bus company, has been appointed a member of the National Board of Field Advisors for the Small Business Administration. He will serve on the board for RFegion VII, which includes the states of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

    Four contests ar slared on the Repblican ticket in the May 2 primary in Plymouth. There are no contests on the Democratic ticker.

    Considerable interest is being shown in the race for mayor between two Plymouth businessmen, Sanford Jacox and Edward Eugene Furry. Jacox operated a grocery stoer and Furry is president of the Indiana Motor Bus Company.

    Bob Kyle's Citizen column of Wedensday May 8, scooped all newspapers in Indiana on the news that E Rugene Furry, Plymouth and Lake Maxinkuckee summer resident, had purchased the Indiana Motor Bus COmpany from its previous owner, The Beneficial Corportation of Wilmington, Del.     "BLUE GOOSE" LINE IS GRANTED A BUS PERMIT
    The Indiana Public Service Commission Friday afternoon granted a bus certificate to the Indiana Motor Bus company of Plymouth to operate a bus line between South Bend and Peru. The Indiana company, which is known as the Blue Goose line, has been operating a bus line through this city to Peru and South Bend for the past three years. - [The News-Sentinel, Monday, August 10, 1925]

    SALE OF RED BALL LINES TO INDIANA BUS CO. APPROVED
    Indianapolis, Ind., Jan. 22 - The sale of three certificates by the Red Ball Bus Lines, Inc., to the Indiana Motor Bus Company of Plymouth to operate from Indianapolis to South Bend through Logansport, Fulton, Rochester and Plymouth, for $10,000 was approved by the Public Service Commission this afternoon.

    The Red Ball lines is now being run by a receiver. Just when the Plymouth concern will take over its rival line was not stated but it is thought it would be as soon as details of the sale were completed.     MOTOR BUS CO. GIVEN PARKINS SPACE OFF MAIN
    After receiving complaints from various sources against the Indiana Motor Bus Company using the main thoroughfare of our city as a parking space for their mammoth passenger busses that run between South Bend and Indianapolis, the city council assigned this company a 75 foot space on West 6th street. This new location is situated directly south of the Linville restaurant at the corner of Main and Sixth streets, which place of business also houses the bus company's station.

    FT. WAYNE-WINAMAC BUS SERVICE STARTS NOV. 30
    Indiana Motor Bus Company of Plymouth was today notified by the Public Service Commission of Indiana that their applications for the new routes in the State, and also their application to acquire the operating rights and property of the Fort Wayne-North Manchester Bus Line, by purchase, has received the formal approval and final order of the Commission.

    The new routes acquired through original application are from Winamac to Rochester, Athens, Akron, Disko, and North Manchester, and from Peru to Roann and North Manchester. The new route acquired by purchase is from North Manchester to South Whitley and Fort Wayne

    The granting of these new certificates to Indiana Motor Bus Company makes it possible for the company to operate through passenger bus service from Winamac, Rochester and North Manchester to Fort Wayne, and from Lafayette, Delphi, Logansport, Peru and North Manchester to Fort Wayne.

    At the company offices today it was said that the new operations wo uld start on November 30th, and that sched ules over the new lines would be co-ordinated with all north-south schedules of the company so that by one easy transfer passengers can travel from any part of the line to any of the towns connected through the new service. --[The News-Sentinel, Friday, November 17, 1939]

    The 1948 Russell's Guide did not include a map of Indiana Motor Bus, but the route network was largely unchanged until the 1980's. During that decade, service reduced to between Elkhart and Indianapolis. In 1990, Indiana Motor Bus was sold to Indiana Highways, which was later renamed American Buslines and was combined with ABC Coach Lines. Service transferred to Greyhound a few years later, and restored north of Elkhart to Kalamazoo.

    Plymouth to Loose Bus Company Office
      E. E. Furry, President of the Indiana Motor Bus Comany in Plymouth and summer resident of Lake Maxinkuckee, has announced that the gerneral office and garage of the bus company will be moved to South Bend around the first of the year where a building has been purchased. It has been located in Plymouth since 1921

      It is planned to establish a commission acency depot in Plymouth to handle passengers and express. The new headquarters in South Bend will be located at 716 South Main Street.

      The decision to move the office and garage of the company to South Bend came after suburban bus traffix between Plymouth and South Bend diminished to the point where nymerous local schedules were no lonfer necessary and the logical servicing point for the buses was the end of the bus run from other major points which would be South Bend - 23 Nov 1955
