      Alan R Tyson, 19, June CMA Graduate Killed In Michigan

      Alan Randolph Tyson, 19, a 1955 graduate of Culver Military Academy and one of the most popular members of the Lake summer colony for several years, met a tragic death about 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Jack and Jill Camp near Muskegon, Mich. where he was a swimming instructor.

      Alan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Tyson of Clayton, MO. and 2434 East Shore Drive was fatally injured during a routine fire drill when a tanker and a jeep collided and he was unable to jump to safety.

      His father immediately toolk a plane from St. Louis to the scene of the tragedy.

      Jack Kowatch on Tuesday drove Mrs Tyson and her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Cutshaw and two children to the Cutshaw home in CHampaign, Ill.

      The Tysons were originally from Danville, Ill.
