Eileen Dunbar Burk McMillen Trask, 97, died April 27, 2013, with her family by
her side in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Eileen was born October 30, 1915, in Decatur to Avon and Frances (Merryman) Burk.
She married Walter E. Trask in 1947; he preceded her in death.
After graduating from Decatur High School in 1932, she attended DePauw University,
where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a longtime resident
of Fort Wayne, where she was a member of First Wayne Street United Methodist
Church. She also resided in Chicago, Ill., from 1958-1965, and San Mateo, Calif.,
from 1965-1970.
Mrs. Trask worked as an accountant and was active in a variety of philanthropic and
civic roles, including Tri-Kappa, a philanthropic organization for women in Indiana;
the Fort Wayne Art League; and Bayshore of Chicago Infant Welfare. She was also a
50-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Order of
the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Trask held a private pilot license and enjoyed playing golf, gardening and
knitting. She moved to West Chester, Ohio, in 1995 to be near her daughter, Frances,
and her family.
Among survivors are her daughter, Frances (Cary) Chichester; son, Michael McMillen;
eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; son, Barry McMillen; and brother,
James Burk, MD. Memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at
Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice of Cincinnati.

Barry McMillen had been living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when he passed away
July 14 at the age of 70.
He was born in Fort Wayne Indiana in 1942, served three years in the US Army
during the years 1966 to 1969.
He earned his BA in Psychology at Purdue University and his MA at Saint Mary’s
University.
He worked for many years as a drug and alcohol counselor at the Hazelden Foundation.
Barry is survived by Cris, sons Brian and Kevin, and two grandchildren

RACHEL B. MCMILLEN, 99, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, 1 p.m., at the
Towne House.
Born Jan. 1, 1906.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a lifetime alumni member of
University of Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Central high School. She was a
member of the Saturday Club.
Survived by two stepsons, Michael McMillen of Woodstock, Ga. and Barry W. McMillen of
Minneapolis/St. Paul Minn.; six grandchildren, Brian B. McMillen, Kevin Dale McMillen,
Stephanie (Ron) Guarino, Michael Walley (D'Anne) McMillen, Dr. J Ian (Laura) McMillen
and Joseph Warren (Wendy) McMillen II; ten great-grandchildren, Adam E. McMillen,
Daniela Guarino, Marisa Rose Guarino, Sara Rachel Eileen McMillen, Wesley Douglas
McMillen, Colin Turner McMillen, Sean Christopher McMillen, Meridith Kinsey McMillen,
Jacob Torrey McMillen and Rachel Ella McMillen; cousins, Alan Fox and Susan May Fox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. McMillen, March 24, 1984; her
parents, Cary L. and Winifred (Bowen) Baird.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Thursday at The Towne House Chapel. The Rev. John Stephen
