Joelle Moira Kayden, daughter of Dr. Gabrielle Reem Kayden and Dr. Herbert J. Kayden of New York and Bedford
Hills, N.Y., was married yesterday to Paul Wesley Killian, son of Dr. Camille Killian Parker and the late Dr. Edgar W.
Killian of Logansport, Ind. Rabbi David Greenberg performed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents
in Bedford Hills.
The bride, an associate of Goldman, Sachs & Company in New York, was graduated from the Brearley School and
Smith College and received a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University. Her mother is an
internist and professor of pharmacology at the New York University Medical Center, where her father, a cardiologist,
is professor of medicine.
Mr. Killian is a partner in the Washington law firm of Watt, Tieder, Killian, Toole & Hoffar. He was graduated from
Washington University in St. Louis and received a law degree from George Washington University in Washington.
His mother and stepfather,
Dr. Francis W. Parker Jr.,
are ophthmalmogists, as was his father. cardiologist, is professor of medicine.

Camille (HILL) KILLIAN PARKER, M.D., 83, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at her Logansport residence.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, to John Vincent and Myrtle KAGY HILL, she married Edgar W. KILLIAN, M.D., April 25, 1943.
She married Francis W. PARKER Jr., M.D., Dec. 7, 1958. He died Jan. 3, 1999.
Dr. Parker graduated from Miami Senior High, Florida, in 1936. She attended University of Chicago and earned her
medical degree from University of Illinois in 1946. Her post-graduate work in opthamology was at North-western
University. She was a opthamology resident at Wesley Memorial Hospital and the Illinois Eye and Ear Hospital,
Chicago. She received board certification 1952 and became a fellow of the American Academy of Opthamology in
1953.
Dr. Parker began practice in Logansport in 1951, joined by her husband in 1959. She was a member of Logansport
Calvary Presbyterian Church, president of St. Joseph Hospital medical staff, president of Cass County Medical Society,
president of the Indiana Academy of Opthamology, diplomat for the American Board of Opthamology and Internal
Congress of Opthamology, president of Logansport Council for Public Schools, president of the Culver Mothers Club,
and received the Service Award from Culver Military Academy in 1969.
Dr. Parker and her husband helped obtain accreditation for Logansport Memorial Hospital and helped establish the
intensive care unit. She traveled for international medical exchange programs. She enjoyed gardening, swimming,
world travel and spending time in Culver .
Survivors include five children, Paul W. KILLIAN and wife Joelle, Washington, D.C., Clyde B. KILLIAN and wife Sharon,
Greenwood, Francis W. PARKER III and wife Peggy, Van Nuys, Calif., Patricia A. STRICKLAND and husband Ted,
San Leanardo, Calif., and David John PARKER and wife Lori, Logansport; eight grandchildren, Michael, Alanna, Paul D.,
Philip and Eleanor KILLIAN, Lauren and Allison PARKER and Parker STRICKLAND; close friend and co-worker, Carol
PURSCH.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Lutheran Church, 430 Ninth St., Logansport, with Rev. Douglas
MANKELL officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport. Friends may call from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Kroeger Funeral
Home, 711 E. Market St., Logansport, and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made
for “Talking Books for the Blind, to the Robert Kraft Fund, in care of Indiana State Library for the Blind, 140 N.
