Catherine M. Rasmussen, 84, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away January 27, 2010 in Elkhart, Indiana.

Catherine was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Daniel I. and Edna J. (Schnull) Glossbrenner. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church Indianapolis and was active in various church and civic organizations all of her life.

She was the widow of James Wood Rasmussen.

Catherine is survived by a daughter, Catherine M. Cale (Stephen), a son, Peter J. Rasmussen (Kathleen), three sisters, Emily Diamond, Mary Batchelor, and Jane Cozier along with three grandsons Alexander, Gabriel and Jacob Rasmussen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Daniel Glossbrenner, Jr., and two sons, James D. "Jamie" Rasmussen and infant son Rasmussen.

Funeral services will be held at the Crown Hill Gothic Chapel, of Crown Hill Cemetery, 34th Street and Boulevard Place, Indianapolis, IN, at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2010, where friends may call after 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The boy an invalid for the last three years, died Saturday at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital.
