LEGAL NOTICES NOTICE OF THE FILING OF PETITION TO CHANGE NAME OF INDIVIDUAL
    The undersigned hereby gives notice, as required by Section 3- 803 of Burns' Revised Statute. of Indiana, of 1933, that he has heretofore filed petition with the Clerk of the Marshall Circuit Court asking that his name be changed from Thomas M. Stinchcomb to Judd Thomas Stinchcomb, which petition has been set for hearing before the Judge of the Marshall Circuit Court on Friday, November 20, 1936, in the Court House, in the city of Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana.

1st Lieutenant from National Guard Captain 13 Aug 1918. 135 Machine Gun Battalion to Discharge Athens, O; Cp Sheridan Ala; American Expeditionary Forces Ypres-Lys; Meuse-Argonne; Defensive Sector. American Expeditionary Forces 15 June 1918 to 25 March 1919.

In July 1920 he joined the CMA faculty as Mathematics Instructor and an ROTC Instructor and served as Compnay D Counselor until his retirement in 1957. During the summer he was Commandant of the Woodcraft and Naval School until 1961.

He also served on the CUlver Town Board and the Culver Community School Corportaion BOard of Trustees

Lt. Col. J. T. Stinchcomb
    CULVER - Lt. Col. Judd T. Stinchcomb, 76, of 303 N. Main St., died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview Hospital, Plymouth following an illness of one day.

    He was born Aug. 16, 1892, in Sycamore, Ohio, and came to Culver in 1920.

    On March 31, 1917, he married in Alexandria, Ohio, Fern A. Taylor, who survives. Also surviving are a son, William T. of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Eloise and Mrs. Dorothy Lindley, both of South Bend; and seven grandchildren.

    Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Culver Military Academy Memorial Chapel, with Chaplain J. F. Foster of the Academy and Rev. Earl Sharp, pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating.

    Burial will be in the Culver- Masonic Cemetery, with the W. A. Fleet American Legion Post conducting graveside ervices.

    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Easterday-Bonine Funeral Home here.

    The Henry H. Culver Lodge 617 F. & A. M. will conduct memorial services at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

    Memorial contributions to the Wesley United Methodist Church will be accepted by the family.

    Lt. Col. Stinchcomb was a graduate of Ohio University, Athens, and received his master's degree from Ohio State University, Columbus. He served in World War I as captain of the 37th Division of the Ohio National Guard.

    He was senior infantry instructor of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps at Culver Military Academy 1942-46. He retired as a reserve officer in 1952 and from the mathematics department of the academy in 1957, after 37 years of service.

    He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Henry H. Culver Lodge 617 F. & A.M., the South Bend Valley Scottish Rites, the W. A. Fleet American Legion Post of Culver, and the Culver Lions Club.

    Mrs. Fern A. Stinchcomb CULVER - Mrs. Fern A. Stinchcomb, 81, formerly of 303 N. Main St., died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in Millers Merry Manor, Plymouth.

    She was born on Dec. 19, 1894, in Alexandria, Ohio.

    She had lived in Culver since 1920.

    On March 31, 1917, in Alexandria, she married Judd T. Stinchcomb. He died in 1969.

    Survivors include a son, William T. Stinchcomb of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. John Lindley and Mrs. Jay Lindley, both of South Bend; seven grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Wesley United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Rev. Donald Bowman, pastor, will officiate.

    Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

    Friends may call in the Bonine Funeral Home anytime today and on Friday until time of services.

    Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
