CULVER - Services for Rosemary Jane (Taber) Scruggs, 74, of 311 S. Main St., who died
at 1 a.m Thursday in her home, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Bonine Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marshall County Historical Society or Marshall
County Humane Society.
Mrs. Scruggs retired as head librarian of Culver Public Library in 1979.
She was born Aug. 14, 1919, in Culver, and was a lifelong resident.
On Aug. 29, 1938, in Culver, she married Norman M. Scruggs. He survives, with a
daughter, Norma Jean Resnick of South Hadley, Mass.; a son, Phillip D. of Rochester, Minn.;
five grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Geiselman of Culver.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the church Chancel Choir and Order of

Norman M. Scruggs, 79, of 311 S. Main St., died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's
Hospital of Marshall County, Plymout after an illness.
He was a son of Norman E Scruggs and Nellie Florence Bailey.
Mr. Scruggs retired in 1985 as a U.S. Post Office custodian and previously retired in
1960 from Bendix Corp., South Bend. He was born on April 21, 1916, in Gretna, VA.
On Aug. 29, 1938, in Culver, he married Rosemary Jan Taber. She died July 21, 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Norma Janeen Resnick of South Hadley, Mass.; a son, Phillip D.
of Rochester, Minn.; five grandchildren; and a brother, Jack of Plainfield, Mich.
Mr. Scruggs was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Finney-Schilling
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6919
