    John J. Deery, 59, of Culver , Indiana, died at 9:40PM on Friday, August 4, 2006, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, Indiana.

    John was born on January 24, 1947, to Francis and Dorothy (Greenen) Deery at Indianapolis, IN. He was married on May 5, 1999, at Culver , to Sherry Smith. She survives.

    He is also survived by his loving sons: Eric (Theresa) Deery of Plymouth, IN, Todd Deery of Monterey, IN, and Ryan Stotler of Dillsboro, IN; daughter: Kim (Andrew) Deery-Swihart of Nappanee, IN; brother: Dr. Michael (Judy) Deery of Culver , IN; sister: Marisue Muessig of Novi, MI; and 5 grandchildren.

    Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 7, 2006, from 6:00 - 8:00PM, at the St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver , Indiana. Father Glenn Kohrman and Father Jeff Largent will officiate services on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at 11:00AM at the St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver , Indiana.

    Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Center at St. Joseph Regional MEdical Center, Plymouth, IN.

    John Joseph Deery, 59, owner and developer of Lawn Ornaments and Fountains . com, passed away in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, Ind., on Friday, August 4 at 10 p.m. following an extended illness.

    He was born January 24, 1947, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Francis and Dorothy Deery.

    He attended Our Lady of Lourdes and graduated from Scecina High School in Indianapolis.

    He attended Marian College and obtained an associate degree of business.

    In 1971, he moved to Culver, Indiana where he worked as vice president of the State Exchange Bank.

    John was an entrepreneur and had many accomplishments in various fields.

    He was a real estate developer, during which time he built the Harbor Condominiums as well as the Culver Cove Resort in Culver, Ind.

    He was the publisher of Living Magazine on a monthly basis for the tri-county area as well as for St. Joseph County for several years.

    He left publishing and went into web development where he developed the successful e-commerce based website, Lawn Ornaments and Fountains. com.

    Among his many other accomplishments are restaurant owner, boat building, president of an ammunition company and real estate broker.

    He was also a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Jaycees.

    John is survived by his wife, Sherry Deery; his son and his wife, Eric and Theresa Deery; his son Todd Deery; his daughter, Kimberly and her husband, Andrew Deery Swihart; his son, Ryan Stotler; five grandchildren, Cody Deery, Zachary Deery, Hunter, Nikolas and Sophia Swihart; brother and his wife, Michael and Judy Deery; his sister, Marisue Muessig. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

    Funeral services for John Joseph Deery will be held at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church on College Avenue in Culver, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8. Father Jeff Largent will officiate.

    Entombment will be at Washington Cemetery in Culver. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, August 7, in St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, IN.

    Memorial funds have been established in his name at the Cancer Treatment Center, Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. Bonine-Odom Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

      Todd Patrick Deery died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 13, 2018, at the age of 49, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana.

      Todd is survived by his mother; Linda Clive (Joe) of Culver, Step-mother; Sherri Deery of St. Petersburg, Florida, Step-brother; Ryan Stotter (Rochelle) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Son; Cody Deery and his daughter, Kelanie Deery of Rochester, Indiana, Brother; Eric Deery (Theresa) of Plymouth, Sister; Kimberly Deery of St. Petersburg, Florida Also surviving are also 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 great-nephew, 2 great-nieces, 2 great-great-nephews and 1 great-great-niece.

      He is preceded in death by his father, John Deery of Culver.

      Todd was born on September 9, 1968 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to John and Linda (Grogan) Deery. He attended Culver Academy and graduated in 1987. Todd served 4 years in the United States Navy. He lit up a room when he walked in not only by his smile and beautiful eyes but by his wonderful laugh that all will miss and remember. He just became a grandfather and was very infatuated by his beautiful granddaughter.

      A memorial gathering will be held on May 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. It will be held at 10849 Hawthorn Rd Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
