      CULVER, Ind.- Services for the Rev. Harley A. Davis, 80, who had served in Methodist churches throughout Indiana, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Culver Methodist Church, where he once was pastor.

      The Rev. Mr. Davis died Sunday at a Hot Springs, Ark., hospital after a long illness.

      He was a native of Whitley County.

      Besides the pastorate at Culver, the Rev. Mr. Davis had served churches at Leiters Ford, Monterey, Fort Wayne, Logansport, Evansville, Indianapolis, Marion, Gosport, Warren and others.

      Survivors include the widow, Mable; a daughter, Martha Lakey, Fort Wayne; a sister, Eva Heiser, Culver; a brother, Lloyd E. Davis, Gary, and four grandchildren.

    Mrs. Harley A. Davis Interred At Culver
    Burial services for Mrs. Evelyn Davis, 69. were held at the Culver Cemetery Saturday afternoon.

    Funeral services were conducted at the Chalfant-Perry Funeral Home in Fort Wayne Saturday morning.

    Mrs. Davis passed away at her home at Pleasant Mills Wednesday morning.

    She leaves her husband. Rev. Harley A. Davis and one daughter. Mrs. Martha Lackey of Fort Wayne. She also has three grandchildren. Mrs. Eva Heiser of Culver is Rev. Davis' sister. Rev. and Mrs. Davis are well known in the Culver community.

    Rev. Davis was reared here and has served as pastor of several Methodist Churches in the community. - 28 Mar 1956 Culver Citizen
