Rupert Paul Esser  



Rupert P. Esser, 87 of 324 S. Shore Dr., died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday in Westlake Community Hospital, Melrose Park, Illinois.

Born Oct. 22, 1903 in Elberfield, Germany, he was the son of Maxamillian and Ria Esser. On Apr. 10, 1932, he was married in Findlay, Ohio to Geraldine Andrus, who died Oct. 24, 1987.

He had lived at Lake Maxinkuckee for several years, coming ot the community from Logansport, whre he retired as an engineer with Pec-Hackett.

He was a member of St. Thomas, Episcopal Church in Plymouth.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Ria Kaspar, Phoenix, AZ and Erika Shorney, River Park, IL., six grandchildren and one granddaughter.

Services will be held at 2pm Friday in St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Plymouth with the Rev. John Schramm officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, Culver.

Rupert was an avid sailor and was Commodore of the Maxinkuckee Yacht Club in 1968. - Pharos-Tribune Logansport, IN Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1991
