Built by the Kolosowsky's - much of it is their own handy work slowly over the early years. ' Gerald and Steve Bonnell done a lot of the main carpentry work - structure or shell.

David Burns done the early stone work on the outside of the cottage and brick walks; fireplace and the sea wall and one could hear David calling her by the nickname "Peaches"

Dee was nicknamed and remebered as "Peaches"; beceause of the basket full of peaches she would deliver to friends in Culver.

Each seasons we would get the appropriate fruit - apples, grapes or peaches they are remembered' with fond memories - the saddest time was when "Dee" delviered 2 bushels of ripe peaches - and I had just started to can them - If I remember right - all 8 jars broke in the water bath and then to top it off I got back spasms across the shoulder blades and could not lift or do anything in fact Dr. Deery told me to go home and sit in a chair - sure with 2 kids, a husband and mearly 2 bushles of peaches spoiling away - I tried but needless to say David would not help me with them - thus all that was salvaged was what he, the kids and I ate and and I think I got a freezer full of homemade ice cream out of the - the rest went to waste...

They own a farm outside of Berrien Springs which was established in 1969 - they had orchards of Apples and peaches during the 1970's and 1980's; and then later went into the grape vienyards. Alex Kolosowsky Farms are listed on the "America's Winery Directory", Wineries in Michigan.
