Town Board Head Jesse E. was elected Monday night as president of the Culver Town Board for 1958. SIms succeed Board member William R. Easterday, who served last year under the alternating plan Serving his first term on the board, SIms, who was elected in 1955, has been a local resident for 15 years. He is the first Democrat in many uears to be named to this position Mrs. Sims a locak busniess man, was 1957 chairman of the Culver-Union Township Community Chest, havin served on its board for 10 years. He is a member of the Marshall County Polio Committee and the Culver-Union Township Library Board. He is SUnday School Superintendent at the Evangelical United Brethern Church where is is a member of the board of stewards. He is a member of the Henry H. CUlver Masonic Lodge, the Lions Club, and the local Chamber of Commerce. Mr. and Mrs Sims' son Loren, is a member of the junior class at Manchester College and another son Leon Attends the Culver school.
