1915 - Dec 9 - A Buisness Change

A deal was closed Monday between D. W. Miller of this place and W. V. Holland of Plymouth in which Mr. MIller takes over a 89 acre farm near Shoals, Martin county and Mr. Holland becomes the owner of the Miller garge. The farm goes in at $8,00 and the garafe at $4,000. Mr. Millers does not get posession of the farm until March 1 and will reamin her until the close of school when he will remove to martin county.

1916 - Feb. 24 - D. W. Miller returned today from Columbis CiIty . He has traded his greenhouse there for a few acres of land east of Mishawaka, and a house and lot in that place

1961 - May 3 - Daniel Miller, Father of Mrs. Weirick, Dies

Daniel W. Mmiller, father of Mrs. Erma Weirick of Culver, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday in South Bend Osteopathic Hospital after a years Illness

Mr. Miller was born on Dec. 3, 1877 in Elkhart county and was married on Dec. 25, 1898 to Betha C. Pippenger.

He was a former resident of Tyner and Plymouth and a member of the Tyner Odd Fellows Lodge

Survivors in addition to Mrs. Weirich are his wife; two other daughters, Mrs. Goldie Shoemaker of Tuscon, Ariz. and Mrs. Lila Strand of Plymouth; two sons Earl Miller of Stillwell and Dr. Welcome Miller of LaPorte; a brother, Asa Miller of WIlliamsport, O.; two sisters Mrs. Lavina Ganger of Mexico; and SUsie Ice of Walla Walla, Wash.; eight granfchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

FUneral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Tyner Evangelical United Brethren Church, which he attended.


Rev. John Davis officiated and burial was in the Tyner Cemetery.

The VanGilder funeral home in Plymout was in charge of the arrangements.
