Lowell - Raymond E. WIcker 51, of Lowell, died early Sunday in Staint
Anthony's Hospital, Crown Point, after a lengthy illness.
He was dorn onn Feb. 20, 1929, in Kentucky.
He was the owner of WIcker Ford dealership in Lowell.
His widow, Marie survies. Also surviving is a son, tony, three daughers,
Terri, Elizabeth and Melissa, all at hommem; father and mother-in-law
Mr. and Mrs. Ausgust Schaffrouth of Criete, Ill.; five brothers Clarence
om Missouri; DOnlad of Cedar Lakes, Ind.; James of FLordia; Harold of Ohio
and douglas. five sisters: Mrs: Janet Schweifert and Mrs ANnis L. Olson of
brafley, Ill. Mrs. Linda Elston of Ti[[ecanoe, Ina. and Mrs. Annabelle Bollan
of Huand maternal grandother Mrs Martha Griffith of Monticello Lowell, Rev Timothy DOoty,
pastor will officate.
Burial will be in the Holy Name Catholic Cemetery
Cedar Lake Lowell.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuseday at St. Rdwards Catholic CHurch
Friends may call from 7 to 10 p.m. today in the Sheets Funeral Home. Memorials may be made
to the American Cancer or Arthritis foundation.
He was a verteran of the Korean War and a member of the Ameican Legion

Marie Wicker 82, of Lowell, passed away Monday May 16, 2022. She is survived by her children, Teri
(Felix) Bucinell of Naperville, Raymond “Tony” (Sonja) of TX, Liz Vallee of Kentland and Melissa
Wicker of Chicago; grandchildren, Brandon Martin and Samantha Gorlewski; MacKenzie, Cameron and
Quincy Wicker; Ryan Vallee; Aidan Arriola; great grandchild, Harley Gorlewski and her brother,
Chuck Schaffroth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray and her parents August and Therese Schaffroth.
Marie spent 20 years as a Teacher’s Aid with Oak Hill Elementary, many years as a Sales Associate
with Thread’s, and finished out her working career at Felicia’s and Tish’s Antiques, all in Lowell.
She enjoyed participating in the Keen-Agers group. Marie loved her community, the people in it and
the friendships she made through the years.
Visitation, May 27 from 10-2, Concluding with Funeral Services at 2 PM all at Sheets Funeral Home &
Cremation Services, Lowell.
Burial will follow in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, Cedar Lake.
