Suicide ruled in death of Mrs. Robarts Mrs. Nora Robarts, 48, of 4128 York, was found dead in her home Wednesday, a suicide by asphyxiation with plastic bags tied over her head. The ruling was made by Deputy Coroner Dr. James MeMeel. Several notes addressed to friends and family were found in the residence including a note addressed to the family physician. A note on the front door of the residence was addressed to a next door neighbor, instructing her to call the police. The neighbor told police Mrs. Robarts had been despondent over financial problems and the break-up of her marriage. Mrs. Robarts was found in the living room with a blanket over her. Police said she had put plastic bags over her head and tied them with a terry-cloth robe tie. A A policeman who is a neighbor reported seeing Mrs. Robarts Tuesday afternoon working in her backyard. Mrs. Robarts was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born on Jan. 29, 1930 in South Bend and lived here all her life. S urviving are two sons, Donald Jr. of South Bend and Richard of Sycmore, Ill.; two grandchildren, and more, two brothers, John Phipps of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Fred Phipps of Alaska. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., Rev. Kenneth Derassistant pastor of the First ry, Church of the Nazarene, Mishawaka, officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery, Niles. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mrs. Robarts was a member of the First Seventh Day Adventists Church. Richard L. Ready, 62, of Knoxville, Tenn. formely of Plymouth and Culver, died Tuesday in University of Tennesse Hospital, Knoxville, after an illness.

Mr. Ready was a retired agent from prudential Insurance Co.

He was born May 26, 1931.

Surviving are five daughters: Paula Krooswyk of DeMotte, Indiana; ROnda Dandurand of Lowell Ind.; Nora Krooswyk of LaPorte; Leanna Plum of SOuth Carolina and Glena Linder of Columbus Ind.; a son Scott of Anderson, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; a sister Marge Dillabbaugh of Hebron, Indiana. and three brothers: Bill of Arisona; Bob of COnnecticut and Pug of Martinsville, Ind.

Mr. Ready was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member fo the First United Methodist Church Griffith Ind.

Services will be iat 9 A.m. Monday in Kruiper Funeral HOme Highland, Ind.

Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

Stanley K. Reichert, 87, Englewood, died Aug. 14, 2006. He was born March 20, 1919, in Bourbon, Ind. and came to Englewood from there in 1978.

He retired from the Postal Service in Bourbon and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Mason, a member of the VFW, the American Legion in Bourbon, and the Elks and Community Presbyterian Church, both in Englewood.

Survivors include his wife, Roselin; a daughter, Jolene Westafer of Xenia, Ohio; a son, Barry of Horn Lake, Miss.; a brother, Paul of Venice; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
