MARGARET WASHBURN, 93, of Culver, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Culver. Born in Chicago, she had worked at General Telephone Co. in Fort Wayne. She and her husband operated The Barn restaurant from 1945 to 1958 and managed Beach Lodge restaurant from 1948 to 1968. She was worthy matron of Culver Order of Eastern Star in 1952 and secretary of the Maxinkuckee Yacht Club. Her husband, William, died in 1977. Surviving are two sons, William J. "Cutter" of Culver and David W. of New Carlisle; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services at 3 p.m. today at Bonine Funeral Home, Culver. Calling an hour before services.
