    Omer Roy HOOK, 46, formerly of Kewanna, died suddenly Thursday evening of a heart attack at his home in Culver. He was owner and operator of the Van Meter Implement Company in Culver.

    He was a resident of Kewanna for 10 years before moving to Culver in 1946. In January of this year he purchased the Van Meter company, a farm implement agency.

    He was a native of Burnettsville where he was born on Dec. 9, 1906.

    Active in Masonic work, Hook was a past master of the Kewanna Masonic Lodge and a member of the Culver Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of the Culver Methodist Church.

    Surviving are the widow, Geneva [HOOK]; three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor YELTON of Culver, Mrs. Marilyn McLANE of Indianapolis, and Miss Virginia HOOK, at home; a son, John Robert HOOK at home; three sisters, Mrs. Charles SUITERS and Mrs.Viola DAVIS, both of Burnettsville, and Mrs. Edgar LEIGH of Indianapolis; three brothers, Benjamin HOOK of Walton and John and Delmar HOOK, both of Burnettsville, and two grandchildren.

    Final rites will be held at 2 o’clock DST Sunday afternoon at the Culver Methodist Church, Dr. Hardigg SEXTON officiating. Burial will be in Culver Cemetery with members of the Culver Masonic Lodge conducting graveside rites.

Omer R. Hook Is Victim of Heart Attack
    FUneral Services for Omer Hook, age, 46, Culver business man, who died of a heart attack at his home on Colege Avenue last Thursday night, were held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon at the methodist Church

    Dr. Hardigg Secton officated and burial was at the Culver Cemetery

    Although Mr. Hook had been in poor health for several months, his death cam unecpectedly.

    Born near Burnettsville, Ind. on December 9, 1906, Omer Roy Hook lived in Kewanna for ten years before coming to Culver in 1946 to operate the VanMeter Farm Implement Co.

    In January 1953, he purchased the business which is now known as the Hook Implement Store. He was a member of the Culver Masonic Lodge and a past master of the Kewanna Masonice Lodge of which he was a former member. Both lodges took part in the Masonic rites at the ceremony

    Surviving with his widow, Geneva, are three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Yelton, Culver; Mrs. Marily McLane, Indianapolis amd Virginia at home; one sone John Robert, at home; three sisters Mrs. Charles Sulters and Mrs Viola Davis both of Burnettsville and Mrs. Edgar Leigh of Indianapolis; three brothers Benjamin Walton, Ind. John and Delmar of Burnettsville and twp grandchildren - 5 Aug. 1953 Citizen

    CULVER- -Geneva B. Hook, 99, of 203 College Ave., died at 6:55 p.m. Monday in Miller's Merry Manor, Culver.

    Survivors include three daughters, Virginia L.Thomas and Marilyn McLane, both of Culver, and Eleanor Grabenbauer of Sebastian, Fla.; and a sister, Betty Zabst of Martinsville, Ind.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Wesley United Methodist Church.
