MARSHALL COUNTY - Town Manager for the Town of Culver Kevin Dante approached the Commissioners regarding a proposition by the Culver Redevelopment Commission for a joint economic development project between the Town of Culver and Marshall County for the construction of storage facilities adjacent to but outside the Town of Culver limits north of West Jefferson St. in Culver. The new construction would be part of the TIF District for the Town of Culver...

...the problem I have when it comes to TIF Districts, as a Commissioner, it winds up taking money away from your public safety, your schools and stuff like that...

Vice President Michael Burroughs made a motion to accept the proposed request as presented in the Town of Culver, Resolution 2023-13, to turn the parcel requested over to the Culver Redevelopment Commission. Klotz seconded. The motion passed.
