A new building is under construction on West Jefferson Street for Gates & Calhoun Chevrolet, Inc., the Chevrolet new car dealer for the Culver area. Located directly east of the Joe Boetsma & Son Upholstery Shop near the intersection of new State Road 17, the building is of cement block and will be 2G'x32' with room for two service stalls and an office.... The dealership was short lived here and moved to 215 West Jefferson St. about 1963

It is believed that they used this for storage and their re-uplostry shop after Gates & Calhoun abandoned their dealership branch in Culver , just when that date was not sure.

Max Motors repairs it all! Auto, ATV, Motorcycle, Diesels, Vintage cars & trucks, golf carts, mowers, tractors, & much much more! We also BUY, SELL, TRADE for many makes and models of all of the above. We have numerous parts ranging from 1930's Fords - Current year numerous makes and models. We collect and sell numerous Mustang chassis, motors, parts & pieces Also other services are free used oil drop off, tires, performance modificaations and snowplowing services. Property owners are Larry J. & Anita G. Boetsma 2018 - Jun. - Think they are now closed there has been no activity around there for months; last month when down past looks as if area has been cleaned up some and no evidence of cars. in and around.... sinage even gone. Estimation would be about Jan 1st .

A Midnight fire on August 29, 2020. Crews were on the scene for over four hours. No injuries were reported. The Culver-Union Township Fire Department was assisted by the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department, Leiters Ford Fire Department, and Culver EMS.
