    OBITUARY ARTHUR SCHIPPLOCK Arthur Schipplock, son of Charles and Caroline Ritter Schipplock, was born in Washington township, Starke county, Indiana, on February 20, 1897, and passed away suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Burr Oak Saturday afternoon, March 26, 1949. His age was 52 years, one month and six days. He was reared on a farm in Starke county and attended school in Washington township.

    On 0ctober 30, 1920, he was united in marriage to Miss Marie Brueggeman of Cicero, Illinois, and they began housekeeping on a farm near his home.

    To this union four children were born, all of whom survive him: Charles, who is in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska; Hermina, Marion and Mary Edle, all at home. He is also survived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Theis, Fish Lake, Indiana, and Mrs. Meda Wolfe, Knox, Indiana, and one brother, Edward, also of Knox.

    Mr. Schipplock spent his entire life in this community where he was engaged in farming until poor health forced him to retire in 1946. - Citizen March 30, 1949

    SOUTH BEND - Marie A. Schipplock, 90, of 20200 Baughman Court, died at 12:25 p.m. Friday in Michiana Community Hospital, South Bend.

    Born Jan. 21, 1899, in Cicero, Ill., she lived in South Bend for 20 years, coming from Marshall County.

    On Oct. 30, 1920, in Cicero, as Marie Brueggeman, she married Arthur Schipplock. He died in 1949.

    Surviving are three daughters, Mary E. Schipplock, Hermina Schipplock and Marian Schipplock, all of South Bend; and a son, Charles of South Bend.

    She was a member of the Rochester West Side Apostolic Church.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the House of Prayer, Plymouth.

    Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver.

    Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Johnson Funeral Home, Plymouth. - South Bend Tribune Sep 16, 1989
