Delbert JORDAN, 74, Culver , a lifelong resident of the Culver communities, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at his home following an illness of one year.

He was owner of the Lakeview tavern in Culver until his retirement in 1951.

Born Feb. 16, 1891 in Hammond, he was the son of Oliver and Ida SHANKS JORDAN.

His first marriage was in 1913 to Jennie E. CALHOUN who died in 1955.

He was married in 1962 to Mable WHITE, who survives with three nieces.

Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Culver Grace United Church of Christ with the pastor, the Rev. Harold HOLMAN, officiating.

Burial will be in the Culver Masonic cemetery. Friends may call at the Easterday-Bonine funeral home after 7 p.m. today. - Friday, May 28, 1965 Rochester Sentinel.

Funeral Services Held Sunday For Delbert Jordan
Delbert Jordan, 74, of 604 S. Main St., Culver , died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at his residence. He had been in poor health for the past year.

Mr. Jordan was born Feb. 16, 1891, at Hammond to Oliver and Ida (Shanks) Jordan and had lived in the Culver and Delong communities nearly all of his life.

He was the owner of the Lakeview Tavern in Culver prior to his retirement in 1951.

He was married in 1913 to Jennie Calhoun who preceded him in death in 1955.

He was married in 1962 to Mable White who survives. Surviving with the widow are three nieces.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at t h e Culver Grace United Church of Christ with the pastor, Rev. Harold Hohman,officiating.

Burial was in the Culver Masonic Cemetery. - THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 1965

Jennie E. Jordon Dies In Chicago Hospital

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Miethodist church for Mrs. Jennie E. Jordan who passed away Friday morning at Herotin HOspital in Chicago.

Rev. Kendall E. Sands, pastor of the church offoiciated, and burial was at Culver Cemetery

Mrs. Jordon had been ill for eight years and had been in the hospital for three weeks.

Mrs. Jordon was born in Union township, east of Lake Maxinkuckee, on May 4, 1896, an spent her entire life in this community.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving relatives include her husband Delbert Jooorfan, her mother Mrs. Edith Calhoun, Monterey; three sisters: Mrs. Hazel Schall, Culver; Mrs. Frances Masters, Monterey and Mrs. Wilma Zehner, Knox and two brothers: James Calhoun, Monterey and Loy Calhoun, Delong. - Jun 8 1955 Citizen
