Marvin True Louden , who today (in 1934) resides on the east side of Lake, Maxinkuckee... The father, John Edward Louden, moved to Indiana from New York in 1833, coming first to LaPorte County, then to Marshall County. He settled near Wolf Creek. The mother was Eliza S Huntley

The son, Marvin, was born April 26, 1858, in Green Township Marshall county Indiana on the homestead farm, located one mile west and one mile south of Wolf Creek village, pretty close to Union Township. In fact, the farm adjoined the Union Township line on the west. About fifty years ago, or in the early '80s, he came to Union Township. His father came before that. Members of the family still living in the township are Marvin True Louden his sons and daughter

    Marvin LOUDEN, 82, passed away Friday morning at his home one mile south of Maxinkuckee. Death resulted from complications following an illness of two years' duration. He had been a resident of the Maxinkuckee community throughout his entire life. Mr. Louden was born in Marshall county on April 26, 1858.

    The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Florence WOODRUFF, of Maxinkuckee; Mrs. Clara WOOLEY, of Marion; two sons, T. P. LOUDEN, of Leiters Ford; Dick LOUDEN, of Culver; and a sister, Mrs. Amanda STEVENS, of Denver, Colo.

    Funeral services will be held at the home, Sunday afternoon, 2:30 o'clock (CST). Rev. Ernest TREBER will officiate and burial will be made in the Poplar Grove cemetery.
