Death November 20, 2011 Cape Coral, Florida Burial Culver Masonic Cemetery son of John Kowatch and Vada Burch Culver - Jack B Kowatch, 89, of North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Culver , passed away on November 20, 2011 at 7:15 am in the Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida.

Jack was born on November 29, 1921 in Culver , IN. He was one of six children born to John and Vada (Burch) Kowatch.

Jack was married to Catherine Thornburg. Together they raised their daughter Sondra. Catherine preceded Jack in death in 1980.

Jack later fell in love and married Joyce Mikesell on September 4, 1983 at the Maxinkuckee Country Club in Culver .

Jack owner and operated Kowatch Plumbing and Heating in Culver for many years. He managed the Maxinkuckee Country Club for 34 years, retiring in 2008. He loved playing golf, woodworking, and building cabinets. He and Joyce wintered in Florida for many years before making it their permanent home.

Jack is survived by his wife Joyce Kowatch of North Fort Myers, FL; brothers Edward (Mary) Kowatch and John Kowatch of Culver and James (Beverly) Kowatch of Chicago, IL; son-in-law Leon Bennett of Culver ; grandchildren Cynthia (Bruce) Carter, Todd (Shaunna) Bennett and Trent (Dana) Bennett; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; step-grandchildren Angela Garner, Nancy Greene and Thomas Guy II; and 4 step-great on great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Catherine, daughter Sondra Bennett and 2 sisters.

A time of sharing memories with the family will be held at the Culver Bible Church from 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2011.z

Rev. Dan Huhn will officiate funeral services at 11:00 AM at the church.

Burial will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in Jack's memory to the Culver Bible Church or to Hope Hospice.

Culver - Services for Catherine L. Kowatch, 59 Rt.2, West 16th Road, who died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday in arkview Hospital in Plymouth after an eight-month illness, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bonine Funeral Home, Culver.

Rev. Robert Hansen, pastor of the EMmanuel United Methodist Church of which she was a member, will officiate.

BUrial will be in the Culver Masonice Cmetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

SHe was b orn June 14, 1920 at Burr Oak, Ind., and was a lifetime area resident of the Culver Community.

She was married Nov. 6, 1937 in DOnaldson, to Jack B,Kowatch, who survives.

Also survivng are a daughter SOndra (Leon) Bennett; three grandchildren' three sisters: Mrs. Elwyen Stults of Argos' Mrs. Jane Huhn of New Smyrna Beach, F;a. and Mra. Rampna Bledon of Plymouth.

A sister preceded her in death.

Culver - Services for Sondra J. Bennett, 47, of 18695 16th Road, who died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in her home after an illness, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

BUrial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call today in the Bonine Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church.

Mrs. Bennett was born June 23, 1938 in Plymouth and was a lifelong area resident.

On Oct 19, 1957m in Burr Oak she married Leon Bennett. He survives with a daughter, Cindy Carter od Culver; two sons: Trent and Todd, both at home; a grandson; and her father, Jack B, Kowatch of Culver.
