1961-1965/6, Mar - Kowatch Painting, Decorating,Plumbing, and Heating - Jack B. Kowtach. It is believed that this actually opened as a "new office" in the Express office building but there is no ads giving an address for it - and there is ony the 1961 phone book availiable that would possibly have an address for it.

1965 - April 29 - 'Here and There Around out Town' - ...The former Cummins Apartment building, across from the Town Park, and long a Culver landmark, is being razed to make way for progress in our Town.

1965 - Apr. 29 - There is no pictures of the Cummins/ Johnson Building being razed and the new additon of 438 Lakeshore to be expanded onto the lot being constructed in the Citizen; also as with the name change from Kowatch to Bennett's there appeared no formal announcement in the newspaper that i could find. It is said that David Burns laid the limestone facing on the building

This shows the 2 store fronts that existed the Blue was the Johnson Building'

Tho the building is "one" and sits on both lots because of structural changes through the years the lots seemd to be listed as seperate

1966 - Mar 3 - Bennett Plumbing, Heating, Painting & Decorating - first appearance of by line in joint multi-business ads I have scoured all issues to this date

1970's

1986 & 1987 Cindy Bennett Carter & Jackie Brown had CJ's Country Clutter in a Corner of the shop

1989/1990 Bennett's bought out the Whirlpool franchise from Dan Shively

2001 - the company name again, this time from Bennett's Plumbing and Heating to Bennett's Contracting LLC.

2002-2017, - Bennett's Contracting, LLC. / CBB Properties LLC - Trent L. Bennett/Todd Bennett/Cindy (Bennett) Carter, President
