K. K. Culver cottage

July 30, 1914 - Knight Culver is finishing up and adding to his cement block garage building and has started a cement block bungalow for the use of his farmer, James McAndrews. Alex Dinsmore is in charge of the work.

1916 - Oct 19 - Keen & Buckheister are erecting a cement block two story addition to the K. K. Culver's lakeside home. It is 44X34 and contains ten or twelve rooms. There will be an electric fan in every room.

1924 - Jun 25 - Mrs. Emma S. Vonnegut has sold to aura M.. Culver the tract of ground which lies south of where K. K. CUlver niw lives. The consideration was %1075. 1924 - Nov. 12 - The K. K. Culver family left lst week for Cpolumbus, Ohio, where it is understoood they will establish their permenant home on returning however, their beautiful home on Lake Maxinkucke as their summer residence.

1935 - Feb 27 - Maxinkuckee Inn Is Undergoing Changes

Culver Cottage is to Be Made into Golfer's Hotel

Extensive changes are being made at the Maxinkuckee Inn and a remodeling program has been announced for the former K. K. Culver cottage that will greatly imrprove the hotel facilities for those visiting the Academy or Lake Maxinkuckee....

Plan Fifteen Rooms

The former K. K. Culver cottage is to be made into an inn this spring. It is located on the east side of Lake Maxinkuckee and as it will be near the golf course it has already been named the Golf Club.

The home will be converted into a small inn with fifteen rooms, each with a private bath. There will be a large lounge equipped with furniture in the modernistic pattern.

The addition of the new Golf Club to the Inn's properties makes four modern hotel buildings available to the Inn's patrons and assures Culver visitors hotel service of the highest quality at all times, even during the holiday rushes at Easter and commencemnt.
