married Miss Catherine Blank, who died April 13, 1904. They were the parents of four sons, three of whom are still
living.

was born August 8, 1855, and died in August 1908...
Franklin Vonnegut,
the third son of Clemens Vonnegut was born October 20, 1856...
The fourth son, George Vonnegut, born October 22, 1860, has been connected with his father's business since 1876
except for a period of two years when he was a student in the Seminary of the North American Gymnastic Union, at
that time located at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For several years he taught gymnastics in the Athenaeum.

Indianapolis, March 10 - George Vonnegut, retired secretary-treasurer of the Vonnegut Hardware
Company here died last night at the age of 92
He was active in the Indiana Council of Boy Scouts and was founder and former director of the Indiana
Convention Bureau. Mr Vonnegut was past president of the Merchants Association of Indianapolis. A
graduate of the North American Gymnastics Union of Milwaukee, her retired three years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Lille Vonnegut; two sons, Erwin G. and Ralph C. Vonnegut, and a brother,
Franklin.
