CULVER - Lloyd R. Heeter, 76, of 914 S. Plymouth St., died at 8:26 p.m. on Friday in Parkview
Hospital, Plymouth, from head injures he received from a fall in his home.
He was born on May 3, 1903 in Akron. He was a retired plumber and steam fitter from Local 172,
South Bend.
He was married in February of 1937 to Patricia Johnson who died in November of 1950.
He then married on July 21, 1951 in Culver, Lefa Andrews Gunder who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Judy Grover of Culver; a stepson Richard Gunder of Culver; three
grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreatgrandchildren; a sister, Miss Sarah Galentine
of Indianapolis; and a brother, Loren Heeter of Glendale, Ariz.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos. Rev. Robert Hansen, pastor,
Immanuel United Methodist Church of Culver, will officate.
Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery, near Akron.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
He was a 50 year member of the Akron Masonic Lodge 659 F & AM, and a Navy, veteran of World War II.

Services Conducted In Akron Yesterday For Mrs. Lloyd Heeter
Services were conducted yesterday alternoon in Akron for Mrs. Patricia Heeter, age 35, wife
of Lloyd Heeter.
Mrs. Heeter passed away at her home on Long Point early Sunday morning following an illness
of eight months.
Born in Williams, Ia., August 23, 1915, she had lived in Culver for the past five years.
Mrs. Heeter was a member of the Culver chapter of the Order of Eastern Star,
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Judith; her parents. Albert and
Agnes Johnson, of Duncombe, Ia., and the following brothers and sisters: Janice Birley, of
Duncombe; Mrs. Jo Casey, of Duncombe; Angie Johnson, of Los Angeles, Calif.: Joseph Johnson,
of Ft. Dodge, Ia.; Richard Johnson, of Duncombe, Ia., and William Johnson, of Atlantic, Ia.

The marriage of Mrs. Lefa Gunder and Lloyd R. Heeter took place at one o'clock Saturday
afternoon, July 21, at the Evangelical United Brethren parsonage. Rev. Charles L. Haney
performed the double ring service.
The bride wore a pink linen dress with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias and
white stephonatis. Attending the bride was Mrs. William Crossgrove who wore a dress of
orchid crepe with biege accessories and a corsage of pink roses.
Mr. Crossgrove was best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Heeter left for a wedding trip in the east and will be at home in their home
