    Helen was born on April 13, 1933 and passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

    Helen was a resident of Culver, Indiana at the time of passing.

    After graduating from Riley High School, Helen fell in love and married Russell J. Louk, who had just returned from serving in the Korean War.

    A time to gather with the family will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 1:30 - 3:00 pm followed by funeral services led by Rev. Henry Sprunger at 3:00 pm.

    Burial will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Santa Anna United Methodist Church.


Their children: Robert Jay "Bob" Louk
    Born August 30, 1963 to Russell and Helen Coldwater Louk in South Bend, Indiana, Bob was the oldest brother in a sports oriented family. His focus became football and NASCAR and became a Richard Petty fan at an early age. Bob spent the majority of his lifetime in the Culver area. He was a 1982 graduate of Culver Community High School, and afterwards, would go on to IVY Tech for his degree as a Drafting Engineer, and later would use at Exacto Inc of South Bend.

    Bob had many hobbies, but model car building was among the first and longest lasting. Over the years he moved on to Remote Control Cars, Co Owning the Lapaz Raceway. That boosted his interest to the quarter scale racing. He was a longtime member of QSAC, Quarter Scale Auto Club, and Indy Quarter Scale Club officiating many of their races. Bob later helped coordinate what would be a close friendship with The Bob Newton family, Hoosier Tire and The Newton Center, bringing together his beloved club and his new friends at Newton Park. Their first race at Newton Park was a Fun Run with Tony Stewart of NASCAR. This was a huge success and was to be repeated. Soon afterwards, Mr. Newton passed and Bob went to the Hoosier Tire/Newton Park Family asking to set up a memorial race, and with the support of Fred Murry, Todd Holloway and the Indy quarterscalers, they proudly boast two National and two Tri-State competitions.

    On August 23, 2008, Bob married Patty Williams Skorup, and along with Emily their daughter, they became his pride. Any conversation would come back to how proud he was of his family. Emily following every step she was allowed behind Bob. Emily frequented his days at the Ingall's track, home of the Indy Quartscale Club, Newton Park and their favorite hang out Bremen Hobby, searching for the newest project or paint for a hobby they both loved, completing their final car only days before his passing.

    Bob leaves behind, his wife Patty, daughter Emily, step-son Michael Skorup and his mother Helen Louk, as well as his extended family, Nona WIlliams, Kerry and Chad Pantle, Bonnie and Steve Swartzell, Roger and Tina Williams, Stacy and Aaron MacAnally. Preceding Bob in death are his father, Russell Louk, brother Andy Louk, brother Scott Louk, and sister-in-law Paula Masterson.

    Memorial Services for Bob will be held on June 18, 2016 at 1 pm at the Santa Anna United Methodist Church, 18929 Nutmeg Rd Argos, Indiana Pastor Henry Sprunger of Santa Anna Church will be officiating.


Andy R Louk
    CULVER - Andy R. Louk, 43, of Culver, IN passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening July 22, 2008.

    Andy was born on Dec. 28, 1964, in South Bend, IN to Helen (Coldwater) and Russell J. Louk. The family relocated to Culver in 1972.

    He was a graduate of Culver Community Jr/Sr High School in 1983. Later he received his Accounting Degree from Ivy Tech in South Bend.

    He was married to Donna Lee Smith on Oct. 8, 1988. They later divorced.

    He was a member of Santa Anna United Methodist Church, Argos, IN where he served as Superintendent.

    Andy was preceded in death by his father, Russell H. Louk in Dec 2000.

    He is survived by his mother; two brothers, Robert Louk of Ober, IN and Scott Louk of Rochester, IN; and his fiancé, Julie Spano. Andy was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

    He loved to drive and show off his 1979 Chrysler Cordoba, which he had restored. He enjoyed fishing, playing euchre and cribbage with his family and friends, and loved his "kitty bear". Even in death Andy gave to others by being an organ donor, helping 75 other people.

    A time of sharing memories with the family will be held on Sat. July 26, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EDT at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver. Rev. Henry Sprunger will officiate services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.

    Helen M. Louk, 84, of Culver passed away on October 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth, Indiana. '

    Helen was born on April 13, 1933, in South Bend, IN, 1 of 3 children born to Andy and Lula (Overmyer) Coldwater.

    After graduating from Riley High School, Helen fell in love and married Russell J. Louk, who had just returned from serving in the Korean War. After they married, they raised their 3 boys in Culver.

    Helen loved taking care of her family, volunteered at Real Meals, was a faithful member of Santa Anna UMC, a passionate Notre Dame fan, and a true friend to many.

    Helen is survived by her brother – Allen Coldwater of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law – Patty Louk of Knox, IN; granddaughter – Emily Louk of Knox, IN; and step-grandson Michael Skorup of Koontz Lake, IN.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother - Alfred Coldwater, and sons - Andy, Scott, and Robert Louk.

    Scott A. Louk, 46, of Rochester, IN, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, June 25, 2014.

    Scott was born Dec 14, 1967 in South Bend, IN to Helen (Coldwater) and Russell J. Louk.

    The family relocated to Culver, IN in 1972. He was a graduate of Culver Community Jr-Sr High School in 1986. He served as manager for the football and basketball teams all through high school. He was a member of Santa Ana United Methodist Church, Argos, IN. Scott was an avid Green Bay Packers and Cubs fan. He liked to scare kids at trick-or-treat times and always had candy for them.

    Scott is survived by his mother Helen of Culver and brother Robert (Patty) Louk of Ober, IN and special niece Emily. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Russell J. Louk in Dec 2000, and brother Andy R. Louk in July 2008.

    A time of sharing memories with the family will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver. Rev. Henry Sprunger will officiate services at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
