Mrs. Dunlap Summer Resident Dies In East
Mrs. Rae Louise Dunlap, 56, 640 South Michgan Street, Plymouth, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday,
Jan. 14, at Sloan Kittering Memorial Hospital, New York City, where she had bee a patient
since Dec. 20.
Born Jan 12, 1907, in Fulton County to John Allen and Mae Umbaugh, Mrs. Dunlap was married
Feb 4, 1938 to Edward Dunlap who survives.
She had been a resident of Plymouth for the past 24 years and was well known in Culver as the
Dunlaps have been summer residents for the past several years leasing the
East Shore home of Mrs. Janice Henricks.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Plymouth Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Tri
Kappa.
Mrs Dunlap was a registered nurse, having graduated from the Ford Hospitasl in Detriot. She was also
an officer and co-founder of Dunlap's Inc. and Plymouth Canning Co. Inc.,
Surviving with Mr. Dunlap are three daughters: Melinda, Patricia and Nancy all at home; her mother Mrs.
Umbaugh of Argos; six brothers: Kenneth and Glendon of Arkon, Ohio Earl D of Fort Wayne, Raymond of
Ocala Fla ,Merlyn of alparaiso and Herschel of Plymouth; and a sister Mrs. Marjorie South of Argos.
The VanGilder Funeral Home in Plymouth is in charge of arrangements and services will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday at he Prsbyterian Church in Plymouth with Rev. James Campbell and Wallace Moor officiating.
Internment will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery. - Jan 1 1963
