    St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel on the Prudue Universsity campus West Lafayette was the scene Friday morning, May 29, of th amrriage of Miss Joan Hickey and David Henricks.

    The birde is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hickey of Ann Arbor, Mich. and the parents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Truax Henricks of Culver and Dr. George Henricks of Huntington, Ind.

    The young couple both graduated on SUnday, May 31, from Purdue University wher the bride is a member of Pi Beta SOrority and Mr Henrick is a Kappa Sigma.

    Following a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania the young couple will be at home after June 13 at Middletown, OHio, where Mr. Henricks will be employed by the Armco Steel Corp. -- Citizen Jun 10 1959.


David Jerome "Dusty" Henricks, 84, of Culver, Indiana, passed away after a brief illness on October 18, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Born March 15, 1937, to George and Janice Henricks in Lafayette, Indiana,


Dusty graduated from Culver Military Academy in 1955 and went on to obtain a degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. There he met Joan (Joanie) Hickey and they were married in Lafayette shortly after graduation. Together they raised three children.

Dusty worked for Amco Steel for 43 years in the metal products division and retired at the age of 65.

He and Joanie then moved back to his childhood home in Culver, Indiana where he became an enthusiastic and talkative member of the Culver Antiquarian and Historical Society, and the Culver Academies Alumni Association.

He was an avid sports and race car fan, but above all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Dusty is survived by his three children: Bret (Donna) Henricks of Lakeland, Florida, Brian Henricks of Largo, Florida, and Allison Henricks of Indianapolis, Indiana three grandchildren: Andrea (Henry Clausner), Aaron, and Anna Henricks and great grandchild: Avi Clausner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Joanie.

A memorial service will be held at the Culver Academies Memorial Chapel, Culver, Indiana, on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
