St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel on the Prudue Universsity campus West Lafayette was the scene Friday morning, May 29, of th amrriage of Miss Joan Hickey and David Henricks.

The birde is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hickey of Ann Arbor, Mich. and the parents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Truax Henricks of Culver and Dr. George Henricks of Huntington, Ind.

The young couple both graduated on SUnday, May 31, from Purdue University wher the bride is a member of Pi Beta SOrority and Mr Henrick is a Kappa Sigma.

Following a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania the young couple will be at home after June 13 at Middletown, OHio, where Mr. Henricks will be employed by the Armco Steel Corp. -- Citizen Jun 10 1959.

January 8, 2014 CULVER — Joan (Joanie) Cecilia Henricks, 76, of Culver passed away after a brief cancer illness on Jan, 3, 2014 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.

Joan (Joanie) Cecilia Henricks, 76, of Culver passed away after a brief cancer illness on January 3, 2014 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Joanie was born May 7, 1937 to James and Alice Hickey in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

She graduated from Purdue University in 1959 with a degree in English.

There she met David (Dusty) Henricks and they were married in Lafayette, Indiana shortly after graduation. Together they raised three children.

Joanie enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her friends and family especially her only daughter and best friend Allison.

She was a long time member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church.

Joanie is survived by her husband, Dusty Henricks of Culver, Indiana; her three children, Bret Henricks (Donna) of Lakeland, Florida, Brian Henricks of Largo, Florida, Allison Henricks of Indianapolis, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Andrea, Aaron, and Anna Henricks of Lakeland, Florida.

A time of visitation will be held at Odom Funeral Home, 104 E Lake Shore Drive, Culver, In on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm.

A church service will be held at St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
