Louis Duenweg, of Terre Haute, has purchased all that portion of the
Lake Maxinkuckee shore lying between the
Arlington hotel
and the Murray log house - Logansport Pharos-Tribune --
If this is the location of the "Murray Log House" (
760 W. Shore) the Duneweg property included
750 W. Shore and740 W Shore and
730 W Shore; of course more research is needed. |

W. C. Routh and family
have finished their cottage on the West Side and taken possession. It is quite an improvement to
the West side and stands on the front row.

1910 - Jan 27 - Harry Routh of Logansport was up to the lake over Saturaday
and Sunday looking after his cottage on the West side.

Logansport Couple Have a Close Call While Fishing in the Lake Saturday
Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Routh, prominent residents of Logansport, experienced a serious adventure
last Saturday when they were thrown into the water about 500 feet off Long Point.
Mrs. Routh was suddenly seized with a faintness and fell against the side of the boat.
Mr. Routh in a quick movement to reach her partially overturned the boat and fell into the lake
while Mrs. Routh remained in the boat which had become filled with water.
Mr. Routh clung to the side of the boat while Messrs. Litzenberger of Culver, Uhl of Logansport
and Rogers of Elkhart, who were not far distant, towed them to shore
