John Erickson Succumbs

John E. (Jack) Erickson, 72, 937 Michigan Ave., died at 3:30 a. m. Sunday in Stuart, Fla.

Born May 7,1907, in Chicago, he was the son of Charles D. and May Erickson. He was married on June 23,1929, to Vera Sellhorn, who survives.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite, the Elks. Tipton Masonic Lodge, and the Logansport Shrine Club. He had retired as plant superviser for Rockwell International, Logansport.

Surviving with his wife are three sons. John E. Jr. (Skip), Rt. 4; Charles D., 1625 Smead St.; and Harry D., Shelbyville; one sister, Elsie George, Chicago; and 12 grandsons.

Services for John E. (Jack) Erickson, 72, 937 Michigan Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kroeger Funeral Home with the Rev. David Eastes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Vera M. Erickson, 73, formerly of Logansport, died Friday at 10:31 p.m. in Fort Pierce, Fla.

She died as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born in Chicago, 111., on March 6, 1909, to Harry and Anna Sellhorn. She was married to Jobn Erickson, who died Jan. 13,1980.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are three sons, John E. (Skip) Jr., Rt. 4; Charles D., 1625 Smead St.; and Harry D., Shelbyville; a sister, Violet Cygan, Chicago, 111.; and 12 grandchildren.
