Walter L. Myers
In 1946, Walter L. Myers founded the Myers Spring Company in a garage in Logansport, Indiana.
His goal was to design and produce quality fine wire precision springs. Through W. L. Myers'
attention to detail and his ability to satisfy customer requirements, and the thoughtful guidance
of his partner, Donald Lindley, he achieved his goal. Today, Myers Spring continues to build on
these goals, expanding our capabilities through new technologies which developing a state-of-the
art manufacturing center. Our strength is found in our employees, whose commitment to customer
satisfaction creates an organization as strong and resilient as the springs we produce.
Walter L. Myers, 74, 927 North St., owner of Myers Spring Co., died at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday in
Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.
He was born Aug. 20, 1911, in Logansport, to Ellis and Katherine Scnell Myers. His marriage on
July 7, 1952, in Indianapolis, was to Foyvelle Kiesling, who survives.
The founder and president of Myers Spring Co., he also served as president of the Logansport Area
Chamber of CommerceBoard of Directors in 1974.
He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Logansport Elks and Eagles lodges, Knights of
Columbus, and Logansport Country Club.
He was a graduate of Purdue University. Also surviving are a son, Craig Miller, Twelve Mile; a daughter,
Marilyn Howard, Pensacola; and five grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, with the Revs. Charles Kline and
Robert Fosselman officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Kroeger Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said
at 7:30 p.m., and an Elks memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m.

Services for Foyvelle "Mimi" Myers, 94, of Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum
Funeral Home.
She died at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born June, 1911, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and Bettie Grace Bay Kiesling.
She was married in 1930 to Dr. Donald L Miller, who preceded in death. She was married in 1952
to Walter Myers, who also preceded indeath.
Mrs. Myers headed the Jewelry and Hosiery Department at Olsen's and worked for R.B.M. Most of her
life was spent being a loving wife and mother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church,
Tri Kappa Sorority, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star.
Foy will be sadly missed by her family. She was our inspiration - a truly classy lady. She gave us wonderful
standards to follow and supported all of us in our endeavors.
Surviving are one son, Lewis Craig Miller and his wife, Barbara, Twelve Mile; one daughter, Marilyn Howard
and her husband, Dr. Joseph Howard, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; two grandsons, Dr. Daniel Howard, Bradenton, Fla.,
and Todd Miller and his wife, Gretchen, Logansport; three granddaughters, Rebecca Howard, Logansport,
Rindy Boedeker and her husband, Staff Sgt. Doug, Wichita, Kan., and Amy Gardine and her husband, Dr.
Cyprian, Hammond; six great-grandchildren, Justin Angle, Eberle Miller, Ananda Boedeker, Cecilia Miller,
Walter Gardine and Arthur Gardine.
The Rev. Bill Shannon will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made
