Richard M. Hansen, 55, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Palos Heights. Suddenly passed away April 19th.

Beloved husband of Diane L. nee Thomas.

Devoted father of Katherine D. Dear son-in-law of Jerry and Virginia Thomas.

Fond brother-in-law of Susan Pisciotti, Gwen (Bill) Adams, and Krista (Kevin) Kasper.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Anne nee Pilot.

He graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering.

He was the Founder and President of Richard M. Hansen & Assoc., for 15 years, which is an electrical and forensic engineering company in Lombard, IL.

He was also an employee at ComEd for over 20 years.

Visitation Thursday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. ( 1 blk. E. of Naperville Rd.) Wheaton.

A vistation will also be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service 1 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 511 School St., Culver, IN 46511.

Please note, all service times in Indiana are Eastern Standard Time.

Interment will follow in Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, IN.

GLEN ELLYN, IL - Richard M. Hansen, 55, of Glen Ellyn, IL formerly of Palos Heights, IL suddenly passed away April 19, 2010.

Rich was born to Harry and Anne (Pilot) Hansen in Blue Island, IL on May 12, 1954.

He graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering.

He was the Founder and President of Richard M. Hansen & Assoc., for 15 years, which is an electrical and forensic engineering company in Lombard, IL.

He was also an employee at ComEd for over 20 years.

Rich was the beloved husband of Diane L. Thomas, devoted father of Katherine D. Hansen, dear son-in-law of Jerry and Virginia Thomas, fond brother-in-law of Susan Pisciotti, Gwen (Bill) Adams, and Krista (Kevin) Kasper.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Anne (Pilot) Hansen.

Visitation was held on Thursday from 3:00 - 9:00 PM CST at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, Wheaton, IL.

A visitation will also be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM EDT at Wesley United Methodist Church, 511 School St., Culver, IN 46511.

Rev. Larry Saunders will officiate services at 1:00 PM EDT.

Interment will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Lake Maxinkuckee Environmental Fund, PO Box 187, Culver, IN 46511.
