Lewis F. William, SUmmer resident, dies Suddenly

Lewis F. Witham, age 66, of 7904 Northcote Ave., Hammond, Ind., and a summer resident of 770 South Shore Drive, Culver, died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 28, at a Hammond Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, the former Esta Overmyer of Culver; two sons, Jack of Troy, Ohio , and Theodore of Hammond; two brothers, William of Hammond,and Clarence of Mishawaka ; and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Shipley of Silver Lake, Ind.

Mr. Witham received his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Indiana University and was Principal of the Hammond Gavit High School. He was a member and trustee of t he First Methodist Church at Hammond; a member of the Mentone Masonic Lodge; the Orak Shri ne Templ e at Hammond; the Indi ana State Teachers Association; and the Hammond Lions Club.

Graveside services were held at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday at the Culver Masonic Cemetery. - THURSDAY, NOVEMbER 2, 1907

Theodore C. Witham, of Chesterton passed away Friday, April 7, 2006. He was 58.

He is survived by two sons, Theodore C. (Tara) Witham, Jr. of Griffith and Lewis R. Witham of Highland; one grandson, Nicholas Witham; special friend, Martha Flanagan of Chesterton and a brother, Jack (Mary) Witham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Esta Witham.

Theodore was a resident of Chesterton for over 12 years. He was a Trustee in the Moose Lodge #1623 in Chesterton.

Friends are invited to meet with the family from 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 10 at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.,) Highland.
