    Virginia Hunter Funk, Former Resident, Dies
      Mrs. Virginia Hunter Funk died suddenly Monday in her home at Beverly Shores, Ind.

      Mrs. Funk lived in Culver until her marriage to Kurt Funk on Dec. 20, 1958.

      Survivors include her husband;l a daughter Jul WIllson of Miichigan City; a son, Richard Scott III, who is in service; and a a brother, William Weisse, Texas.

      Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Carlisle Funeral Hom in Michigan City and burial will be at Indianapolis - Jan 18 1961 - CItizen


    Virginia Hunter Funk's Death is Mourned Here
      Services for Virginia W. Funk age 48, former well known Culver resident , were held in the Carlisle Funeral Home at Michigan City last Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Leonard A Zimer, pastor of St. Paul's Evandelical Lutheran Church, officiating.

      Burial was in beautiful Crown will Cemetery at Indianapolis.

      According to the Michigan City News-Dispatch, death apparently due to natural causes, is believed to have occured at about 5 a.m. on Jan 16.

      Mrs. Funk had been a resident of Beverly SHores, Michigan City, since her marriage to Kurt H. Funk on Dec. 20, 1958.

      During her 8 year, residence in Culver she lived on Lake Maxinkuckee at 794 West Shore Dr., now a rental property owned by Robert L. Haig .

      Fine sense of Humor

      As an employee of the Ideal Cleaners, Charles Riccardi's dry-cleaning and tailor shop and other retail establishments, she made many friends through her keen sense of humor. She particularly enjoyed any reference to her membership in the Bird Watcher's club, a mythical organization whise name crept into the Citizen's society columns from time to time.

      Virginia Weiss Funk was born at Hamilton Montana on Sept 4, 1912 the daughter of Herbert and Ethel Vincent Weiss. As a small child she came to Indianapolis with her parents. Her first husband Richard Scott Hunter died Apri. 17 1951

      Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter Mrs. Jill Wilson, Michigan City; a son Richard Scott Hunter Jr. stationed with the U. S. Navy at San Diego, Calif.; a stepson, Donald Funk., Michgan City; a grandchild; and a brother, WIlliam G. Weiss, Dallas Texas - Jan 25 1961 Culver CItrizen

    Richard S. Hunter, a Lake Maxinkuckee Summer resident, died suddenly of a heart attack early Tuesday morning at his home in Indiapolis, according to word received here yesterday.

    Details of the funeral arrangement had not been learned.

    The Hunter family had visited here over the week end with the Russell Fisher family

    Mr. Hunter's death comes as a great shock to friends here. 18 Apr 1951
