1920 - July 14 - N. W. Rector has bought the lake front lot on the corner of Toner Avenue and
Helen Streets in Vandalia Park from P. A. Wickizer and expects to build at once.
1920 - Jul 21 - Work has begun on N. W. Rector's new home in Vandalia Park, It. will be a
two-story frame of square design; stucco finish or brick veneer .
1920 Sept 15 - N. W, Rector moved into his new house this week, seven weeks after beginning
work on it considering the labor shortage and the size and convenieve. of the house, it nearlyy, if
not breaks the record

1924 - Ap. 30 - Builds New Porch - N. W. Rector is making a fine improvement to his home on
E. Toner Avenue by building a new porch. WHen completed the front of the home will undoubtably
be beautiful. The stone work is to be done with large boulders and other decorations
will enhance the structure.
1937 Mar 24 - $3,00 Fire Damages N. W. Rector House
Fire originating in the roof caused about $3,000 damage to the N. W. Ractor hom Monday monring
The roof was completely ruined and most if the second story will have to be done over as the
result of the roof caving in and damage by water and smoke. The ceiling of the first floor was
also damaged by water. Some furnishings were damaged of destroyed
It is believed the fire was started by sparks from a flure burning out and lighting on the wooded
shingle roof and burning through. This spread the fire inderneath the roof and gave it considerabe
headway before it was notices and the alarm turned in
Blaze is Checked
The fire department put three streams of water on the burning house and soon brought it under
control.
Mr. Rector who is proprietor of Rector's Pharmacy, has started plans to rebuid and recondition the
house at once.
In the meantime he and Mrs. Rector are staying with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Steffen Rcetor
Insurance was carried on the house.

Clara Viola (Jones) Morrow was born near Culver, had lived in Terre Haute & Indianapoils
returning to Culver in 1930 married 1900 Charles Morrow; she had a grandson Ray Morrow
of Stamford, Conn. and 2 great grandchildren surviving here besides brothers & sisters.
She died aet 72 on 19 Apr 1952 daughter of Aaron Jones and Mary Jane Robinson.
