It would be prudent (if you would choose to mention him) that you simply say he was a life-long watersport aficionado; and Maxinkuckee fit the bill; especially when his children and growing group of grandchildren all lived around 120 miles from there. He actually went to Culver Summer Camps as a young man. Dad/Jim Sr. was an avid and competitive sailor, having competed locally and regionally (in the Interlake boat class) while at the Indianapolis Sailing Club, where he held numerous leadership roles including Commodore in 1985. While at Maxinkuckee, Mom and Dad were very involved with the Culver Yacht Club, and again our father held numerous positions, culminating again as Commodore in 1998. - Matthew Clark Bartlett.
