    CULVER - Robert A. Harris, 85, of Culver passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.

    Bob was born on Aug. 28, 1929 to the late Joseph and Ann (Yadron) Harris.

    On Dec. 10, 1966 Bob married Mary McCaw, who preceded him in death on July 13 of this year.

    Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and Korea. After his service he worked for American Bridge in Chicago before starting Harris-Angsten Company Inc. in Oak Lawn, Ill.

    Never one to sit still, Bob kept himself busy in retirement on the golf course, the lake, and with numerous woodworking projects over the years. He restored over 40 antique carousel horses, built two working miniature carousels, and assembled more clocks than can be counted.

    Bob's life was centered around his family, and he loved nothing more than seeing everyone together, enjoying a warm summer day at his home on Lake Maxinkuckee.

    Bob is survived by sisters Elizabeth Green of Park Forest, Ill. and Dorothy Van Etton of Venice, Fla.

    He is also survived by daughters Karen of Culver; Laura (François) Lincoln of Vernon, B.C.; son Robert of Wilton Center, Ill.; daughter Anne (Jack) Johnston of Culver and son Brian of Culver; grandchildren Vicky and Annie Fillow, Selene and Erik Lincoln, and Nora and Owen Johnston. He was preceded in death by sister Joan Lichter and daughter Kathleen.

    Friends may join Bob's family in celebrating his life at Odom Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014.

    Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with a memorial service and burial to follow.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association The Odom Funeral Home, Culver, is assisting with arrangements.

    Mary Harris, 76, of Culver, IN passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. Mary was born on May 18, 1938 to the late William and Annie (Stewart) McCaw. On December 10, 1968 Mary married Robert Harris, who survives.

    Mary was a great lover of animals domestic and wild, all of which frequently came to her for treats. She served as Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader in the Culver community, and is well remembered for her many years of service at the Culver Public Library. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren on Lake Maxinkuckee.

    Mary is survived by brother Bill (Gretchen) McCaw of Naples, FL and sister Margaret Kaczmarek of Ft. Myers, FL.

    She is also survived by daughter Anne (Jack) Johnston of Culver and son Brian of Culver; stepdaughters Laura (François) Lincoln of Gibsons, BC and Karen of Culver; stepson Robert of Wilton Center, IL; grandchildren Selene and Eric Lincoln, Vicky and Annie Fillow, and Nora and Owen Johnston. She was preceded in death by stepdaughter Katherine.

    Friends may join Mary’s family in celebrating her life at Wesley United Methodist Church on Friday, July 18, 2014. Visitation will be from 1-3pm with a memorial service and burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
