Lois Madge (Everret) Maddox

    Lois M. Schau, 93, of Plymouth, IN, died on Saturday Nov. 26 at her home. She was surrounded by her children.

    Lois was born Aug. 2, 1929 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, to the late Hugh Kenzie and Ruth V. (LaTourette) Everett.

    Lois was also preceded in death by two husbands. James L. Maddox, Father of her seven children. Kenneth C. Schau father of her step-son Sonny.

    She was also preceded in death by her daughter Robin and Granddaughter Cherish Ann Stacy. Also preceding her in death were her two brothers, Donald and Ivan

    She loved her faith, Lois enjoyed sharing with anyone that would listen, she was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Plymouth Indiana.

    Lois had many talents, some she rarely talked about. She was a Halo shampoo model on billboard and in magazines in the 1950s. She was an accomplished artist, painting many beautiful oil paintings, also a beautiful wedding cake decorator and Seamstress, as well as a business owner, owning restaurants in Florida and Indiana in the 60s and 70s as well as a motel.

    Lois is survived by her daughters: Donna, Linda, Terri and Peggy; sons: Barry, Michael Maddox, 23 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter and 43 great- grandchildren 1 step grandson and 3 great-great grandchildren.

    Friends may join Lois's family in sharing memories of her life.

    This will be held on Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9019 Suter Rd., Plymouth, IN. Odom Funeral Home is caring for Lois. - Dec. 9 to Dec. 10, 2022.

He was in radio and television (and earlier, Vaudeville) all his life, and often followed career opportunities with family in tow.

Skip -- who shared the airwaves and often studios with the likes of Sid Caesar and Jack Benny, and whom one advertisement dubbed, "the clown prince of comedy" -- had even dated singer Patti Paige before eventually marrying Lois Madge Everett, herself a bridal model from Chicago.

The Maddox family found themselves in Northern Indiana due to Skip Maddox's making friends, while at FCC school, with local radio personality Ken Kunze, who brought Skip to Plymouth's own WTCA radio.

Jim was a graphic designer. He was actually credited with designing the first Beatles album when Vee Jay records from Chicago owned them for a year, eventually selling them to Capitol Records for $350.

    James (Skip) Maddox - Plymouth - Word has been recieved of the death of James (SKip) Maddox, 60 of Casper, Wyo. on Friday in his home.

    Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's WItnessess in Plymouth.

    Cremation has take n place. The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Casper handled arrangements.

    He was born on Aug. 31 1923 in Terre Haute and was a retired radio and television brodcaster.

    Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Donna Miller of Akron, Mrs Linda FLeming of Hawaii, Mrs Terri Minix of Rochester, Mrs. Peggy Morie of Plymouth; two sons Barry of Plymouth, Michael of Culver; 16 grandchildren and a brother, Robert of Casper

      Mrs Robin M Watts, 18, of Route 4 Plymouth=Laporte Trail, Walkerton, died of natural causes early in the morning Friday, May 31, 1974 at her home.

      Mrs. Watts was born February 3, 1956 in Fort Wayne. She had lived in Culver four years before moving to the Walkerton area last year. SHe attended ROchester Kingdom Hall congergation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

      She was married July 29 1973, in Plymouoth to Walter W. Watts, who survives.

      Surviving with Mr. Wats are one daughter, Cherish Ann, at home; her mother Mrs. Kenneth (Lois) Schau of Culver; her father Mr. James Maddox of Casper Wyoming; materal grandmother Mrs. Ruth Leffert, Hudsib, Flordia; maternal grandfather Hubert Everett of CHattanooga, Tennessee; four sisters: Mrs. Donna Miller of Rochester, Linda, Terry and Peggy Maddox all of Culver; two brothers: Barry R. of Valparaison and Micheal A Maddox of Culver; one step-brother Kenneth C. Schau of Valparaiso.

      Services were conducted at Bonine Funeral HOme SUnday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m., with Brother David Weirtz of the ROchester congregation of Jahovah's Witnesses officiating.

      Burial followed in Burr Oak Cemetery northwest of Burr Oak. - June 6, 1974 Citizen
