Donald "Casey" T. Jones, age 83, of 10251 Nutmeg Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 11:19 a.m.,
Friday, June 17, 2011, at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Donald Jones was born on March 8, 1928, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Aaron and Helen (Taber) Jones. Casey
graduated from Plymouth High School in the Class of 1946.
He entered the United States Navy to serve his country during WWII. A member of the V.F.W. Post #1162,
he served as the post's Senior Commander from 1981-1982.
Pat Rockaway and Casey Jones were united in marriage on May 1, 1998, at Casey's home, in Plymouth.
Casey worked for Central Transfer Company, in Plymouth, later purchasing the company. He also invested in
several Kentucky Fried Chicken franchises, owned several video stores, Casey's Bar, a carnival, and enjoyed
dealing in antiques. Casey was a people person.
He loved talking, sharing stories, and sharing "Plymouth Memories", with his many friends, while making new
friends along the way. He was always friendly, outgoing, and was loved by all.
Casey is survived by his loving wife, Pat Jones; his daughters, Janet Ahuern of Arizona and Patricia Moberly of
Plymouth; his sons, Donald (Roseanne) Jones of Guam and James Jones of Warsaw; his extended family, Elizabeth
(Paul) Rockaway-Boger of Carmel, Indiana and Peter (Georgianna) Rockaway of Green Bay, Wisconsin; his sister,
Rosemary Listenberger of Plymouth; his brothers, Bob Jones of Plymouth and Larry Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana;
and nine grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were; his parents; his step-father, Clayton Bare; and his brother-in-law, Robert Listenberger.
